When my mom died, years before my kids were born, I decided that I would make sure they loved Nước mắm (fish sauce) and they could speak Vietnamese. One of the things I mourned when my mom died was the fact that she would never get to be a grandmother to my kids. I wanted the kids to be connected to her in someway and the best way I knew to do it was to make sure they could speak my mother’s language. This video brought tears to my eyes! I hope you take the time to watch it. Learning a language opens doors, opens minds, and opens hearts.
